What type of events can be advertised on this website?

This website is dedicated to events related to Earth, Body, Love, Spirit and Universe.
Earth - Sustaining our Earth (for example: Eco, bio-dynamics, self-sufficient living, making a clay oven, etc.)
Body - Nurturing our body (For example: Heallth, anthroposophical nursing,  natural products, nutrients, food, exercise, etc.)
Love - Opening our heart (For example: Volunteering projects, humanitarian, etc.)
Spirit - Embracing our Spirit (Acknowledging the unseen part within us, the Truth of who we are, for example: meditation, healing, etc.)
Universe - Relating to our Universe (Our relationship with the stars and the impact they have upon our being and who we are, for example: astrology, numerology, etc.).

Which countries can advertise events on this website?

The main goal is to promote events in New Zealand and Australasia.
We welcome advertising of overseas events, as long as they are aimed to reach the visitors from New Zealand.

For how long is an event listed?

An event is listed from the moment it is verified and published till the moment the start date and time have passed.
Events are not shown after they have started.

How can I edit my own event?

Currently it is not possible to edit an event yourself. This will be an option in the near future.
For now, please email your event ID (received by email when the event was submitted) to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and explain the changes you would like and we will do it for you.
You are also welcome to submit a new event and email us the event ID of the event that has to be deleted.

Is advertising events for free?

We offer a free event advertising option (there is no catch or hidden costs) and we also offer a paid event advertising option, which gives you more options and space to advertise, including the ability to create your own page, add images and a the option to make a file available for download (flyer/brochure/registration form).
Differences between both options are explained in the documentation in the submit events menu.

How does this website support itself financially?

We aim to keep this website free of advertising banners so that the website stays clear, simple and enjoyable. We also strongly believe that what we offer also has to be available to people and organizations which might not have the money to advertise. Therefore we have created a free option besides the paid option.
Unfortunately it does cost a lot of time and resources to keep a website like this running and up to date. Therefore we have created a paid option as well. There is also a possibility to make a donation after submitting an event through the free option.
Users who only view event listings, but still want to support this website, can make a donation by clicking on 'Make a donation' in the User menu.

Why do I have to register before I can submit an event?

Registering is necessary if you want to submit an event, so we can verify if the advertised event is genuine. You don't need to register if you want to list/view events.
Registration is for free and is done instantly. You fill in a small form and an email will be send to you automatically. You can confirm your registration by clicking on a link in that email, which directly activates your account. Your details will be kept strictly private and won't be shared with others.
We absolutely do not share your information with third parties.

Why are some system emails sent by the domain sjmnz.com instead of awarenessevents.co.nz?

Awareness Events New Zealand is part of a vision, which may unfold further under www.sjmnz.com. Currently the PayPal payments are handled by sjmnz.com
